Thanksgiving Day Ride

Group rideStart Thanksgiving Day with a great 58-mile ride and get home before the feast begins! We'll be meeting up here at the Ride Studio Cafe at 7am and follow this route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/823126

This is an intermediate ride, with the pace being ~17-18mph (it's a base-building, fat-burning kind of ride).

The Studio is closed on Thanksgiving, but the doors will be open to riders before and after the ride! If this ride is too long to fit your schedule, feel free to do the portion that works for you.

RSVPs are appreciated but not required. We're looking forward to riding with you!

This will be the evening for all who love fixies, single-speeds and bikes that double as works of art. This exhibit is open to all types of fixed-gear and single-speed bikes. Bring your favorite single-speed bike, enter it into the exhibit - for free, and you may just ride away with one of a number of great prizes.  Full Details are available, check out the Event Page! See some incredible examples of functional bikes as Fixed Belt Driveartistic expressions of riders' passion.  Other reasons to attend include:

  • Prizes: Judging will be done by all participants. We've got several categories in which to participate.
  • Party: We're doing the usual RSC shindig. Only bigger!
  • Rally Rabbit Ride: Believe it or not, there are a few alleys and other non-conventional places to ride in Lexington. We're going to do a night ride at 10pm; don't miss it. This is not a race, it's just a very interesting roll. Bring lights. (Bikes with more than one gear are welcome to participate, too, during this portion of the evening.)

CYCLE Kids is a great organization whose mission it is to bring cycling to kids across Boston by teaching them how to ride safely.  We are big fans because CYCLE Kids helps youngsters to develop a lifelong love of riding.  We are thrilled to host this event at the Studio, and all the money raised on Sunday goes to the Medford Elementary Schools CYCLE Kids Programming.

This event has been creating a buzz in Boston!  Daily Candy’s Weekend Guide highlighted it as the event to support this weekend.  We couldn’t agree more.  Please join us at the Studio from 7:00pm-9:00pm this Sunday 24 July.  Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the door or by email.
